Milli Supreme Interview w/ Jazzy Rhia

After months of going back and fourth trying to get this Interview we finnally got to put it together.  You know any younging that is focused and on there grind  putting in hard work catches my attention.  So its only right that we sit down with the fresh, educated , and talented Jazzy Rhia for this exlusive interview.

-Where are you from?
I'm originally from Atlanta, GA. After living there for 12 years my family and I moved to Orlando, FL. I finished up middle school and graduated High school there. With that being said, I claim both cities!

-Besides rap you also play instruments, at what age did you get into music ?
I started playing the violin at the age of 10. I asked this girl in my fourth grade class to show me her violin and when I saw that beauty up close, I was just eyes-wide excited. I asked my mom if I could learn to play and the next year we made it happen. Had no idea I'd take it all the way to College with me.

-Who are some artist that inspire you?
This is always the toughest question for me, simply because the list goes on and on! I'll try to make it short though lol. Starting from a child, the main artists I always admired were Missy Elliot, Aaliyah, Timbaland, TLC, Destiny's Child, and Ma$e. They were extremely dope to me and either had a positive message or just had fun with their music. As I got older, I really admired Gwen Stefani, Pharrell and Miri ben-Ari. Gwen and Pharrell are cross over and I see a lot of myself in them for that reason. I seriously dream of starting a band one day. As for Miri, she's the lady who inspired me to cover mainstream music on the violin. Till this very day I'm still extremely moved when Overnight Celebrity plays. The moment I realized I wanted to be a performer however was when I saw Beyonce live on The Beyonce Experience Tour. That was during my junior year of high school. Besides me being impressed by her commanding glow on stage, I was especially blown away by her all-girl band. That night I was determined to work towards being her violinist! Plans of course changed when I started writing music lol, but I still more than ever look up to Beyonce for being so dedicated. That Woman works hard!

-What are some essential things you need in the studio to keep you focused?
Fiji and jolly ranchers!

-Where do you get your sense of style from?
Growing up a tomboy, I'd say my sense of style comes from wanting to be comfortable lol. I started skating in middle school and the vans and ripped jeans just stuck. Chuck Taylors have to be my favorite shoe however. Also, growing up in the awesome era of Pop music, pretty much all the female artists had their belly showing. So in conclusion, I've adopted crop-tops, stuck with sneakers, and throw on lipstick and eyeliner to soften up the look a bit.

-When can we expect a mixtape or album to drop?
You can expect an Album dropping this Winter! The project is called "Synergy" and I'm along side the lyrically talented A.D. The Artist. I've decided that after this project I'm taking a hiatus as an artist and will be focusing behind the scenes through production and songwriting. With that being said, I've put my all into this album. In fact, I actually produced half of the track list.
Currently we have our first single "Energy" sweeping speakers! Be sure to check it out! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bdc09eBULoQ&feature=youtu.be)
-Do you think it's easier for a male artist to blow before a female artist?
Depends on the genre I'd say. When it comes to hip-hop, most definitely. Just look at the ratio of men to female in the game. And that number is not due to the lack of female talent out there. I relate it to basketball. We have the WNBA in which people respect Women for their talent of playing ball, but at the end of the day, how many people are buying seats to their games as opposed to the NBA? The rap game will forever be viewed a mans sport. That's what the target market is use to and that's the way the industry sees it as.
-Can we expect to see some jazzy rhia performances coming soon and if so what cities?
Currently there are no shows lined up, as I'm putting my all into the recording of this album. I'll be sure to send you the dates when the time comes however!

Thanks for doing the interview with us, go ahead and drop some shout outs and where the fans can get some of your music.
Appreciate y'alls interest! I'd like to shout out the homie A.D. The Artist. Please lookout for our album "Synergy" dropping this Winter! In the meantime, hit up jazzyrhia.com for the latest. Much love!
